A Boeing 787 passenger is thrown onto a luggage rack during turbulence

A passenger on an Air Europa Boeing 787 flying from Madrid to Montevideo was thrown onto the luggage rack.

The airline’s airliner hit a zone of strong turbulence. In total, about 30 people were affected, reports Financial Express.

As a result, dozens of passengers received injuries of varying severity.

One of them even had to be pulled from the luggage rack. At the same time, mainly those who were not fastened were injured.

According to passengers, during the flight, the board “dived” down, and because of this, several people hit the ceiling with their heads.

The crew of the airplane decided to make an emergency landing in Brazil, where all the injured were treated.

Passengers received injuries of varying degrees of severity, the most serious of which were sustained by passengers who had not buckled up during the flight.
